TRS to aim for Chief Minister's post

TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao is confident that the party will win the coming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Telangana and that TRS will form the Government. KCR has released the party's manifesto and also the first list of 69 candidates for the 2014 elections. He once again reiterated that the party would contest alone in the coming elections. Known for his superstitions, KCR has announced the list of nominees at an auspicious time of 10:57.

Criticizing TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah who remarked that the TRS party has rejected alliance with Congress since it is aiming for Chief Minister's post, KCR short back saying that is it wrong for a TRS man to become chief minister. He questioned Ponnala as to explain how they are eligible and not TRS politicians to become Chief Minister.

Chandrasekhar Rao said that the party has conducted a survey which showed that TRS would win 75 Assembly and 14 Lok Sabha constituencies, while Congress may win 23 to 35 Assembly seats. He said that the people would vote for TRS if they want self-rule or for Congress if they want a proxy Andhra government in Telangana.
