Telangana BJP district units threaten

On one side the talks with each other going on the, the district chiefs of BJP from Telangana region threatened to resign from the party if it went ahead with a poll tie up. They allege that the BJP would suffer adversely as the TDP's vote base in the region was shrinking and even quoted a recent survey said in a letter to the BJP senior leader Prakash Javadekar. They said that the BJP vote bank in the region is just 18 per cent while that of TDP is at 5 per cent. They wanted freedom for their units in the region to contest on its own with out any alliance. The letter quoted to have said that 'If you still go ahead with alliance, we are afraid that the BJP will suffer and we should not be blamed for any consequences that may arise in the future'.

Pact reached for 47 Assemblies and 8 Lok Sabha in Telangana

It is learnt that the TDP agreed to offer 47 Assembly seats and Lok Sabha seats in Telangana while 15 Assembly and 5 Lok Sabha in Seemandhra to BJP. However the list will be announced by the leaders of the both parties at a press conference on Sunday.
