‘Water grid to come up to quench the thirst of the people’, says Chandrasekhara Rao

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on his first maiden visit to Karimnagar announced several sops to the people.

He announced of laying water grid to quench the thirst of the people in Telangana by investing Rsl.25,000 crore in the next four years. He said that preliminary estimates say that 160 tmcft water would be required for supplying to all the households and decided to draw 80 tmcft from Krishna Water and remaining from Godavari.

Karimnagar would be developed into a city that would look as grand as London and New York. KCR said there would be a ring road, four-lane roads, another Brindavan Gardens in 300 acres at LMD and luxury cruises in LMD. “Karimnagar would be developed in such a way that no one would have thought it’s possible.” Similarly, Warangal, Khammam and Nizamabad would also be developed, he added.
