Telangana Government to buy power from Southern States
Telangana Government is ready to purchase another 2,000 MW power on a medium term basis from the southern region. This is in addition to the 1,000 MW to be purchased from Chhattisgarh on a long term basis. The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao approved the proposal for the same on Wednesday.

Tata Group comes forward in the development.
Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry called on the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday.

Mistry had all the praise for the proposed industrial policy of Telangana and assured that Tata Group would help Telangana Government in developing IT, rural development, Hyderabad, free education from KG to PG, health and other sectors.

The Chief Minister wanted the group to involve in the process of reconstruction of Telangana State. He said that Hyderabad has nearly 1700 noticed slums and the government has to provide housing, roads and other basic amenities in these slums and he sought Tata Group help which was assured full cooperation.

KCR names Agricultural University after Prof.Jayashankar
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao officially named the Agriculture University at Rajerndranagar in Hyderabad after late Prof. Jayashankar on his 81st birth anniversary.

The Chief Minister announced at the campus on Wednesday. ‘The agriculture university will be known as Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University from today’, he said.

Government announces rewards to Common Wealth Games players
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao announced rewards to the players of Common Wealth Games who met him. He announced that Rs.3 lakhs price to all the players. He announced rewards to Coach Gopichand to Rs.50 lakhs and Gold Medalist Kasyp Rs.50 lakhs, Silver Medalists Rs.25 lakhs and Bronze medalist Rs.15 lakhs. He also announced to Rs.20 lakhs to Saina Nehwal who won in Australia Open Tennis.

TDP bags majority MPTCs in Khammam
KHAMMAM: TDP bagged majority of MPTC presidents in the district by winning 15 while CPI with 8 and 7 to Congress. 3 MPPs have gone to YSRCP and two to New Democracy while two for independents.

EAMCET counselling from August 10
HYDERABAD: EAMCET Chairman Prof. Venugopal Reddy announced that EAMCET counselling will begin from August 10 in accordance with the schedule and certificate verification will be done from Tomorrow.

KCR names NG Ranga Agricultural University as Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday participating in the 80th Birthday celebrations of Prof.Jayashankar has named the NG Ranga Agricultural University as Prof.Jayashankasr Agricultural University. He unveiled the statue of Prof.Jayashankar. He laid foundation stone for research complex examination hall to be constructed at a cost of Rs.9 crore.

Prof.Jayashankar 80th birth day celebrations begin
KAPRA(Hyderabad): Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated the 80th Birthday celebration of Prof.Jayashankar at Kapra in Hyderabad. He garlanded the statue and paid tributes. He inaugurated the blood donation and medical camp.

KHAMMAM: The MPP co-option member election for Palvancha has been postponed to tomorrow following lack of nominations. K Pentaiah (CPM) was elected as Kunavaram MPP.

Congress MLA to shift loyalties to TRS
ADILABAD: Muthole Congress MLA Vithal Reddy is likely to shift to TRS. According to sources, he will be joining the TRS in the presence of its president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Wednesday. Vithal Reddy said that KCR is implementing the promises he had given to the people that prompted him to shift to TRS, he said.
