Chief Secretary meets with Metro Rail officials
Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma on Tuesday held a meeting with the Metro Rail officials at the Secretariat. In the review meeting, L&T Metro Rail MD Gadgil, HMR MD NVS Reddy along with the Collectors of Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad attended. Sources said that realignment of Metro Projects have come up for discussion.
The Hyderabad Metro Rail is the world's largest elevated Metro Rail PPP project based on DBFOT basis (Design, Built, Finance, Operate and Transfer). Expected to carry 15 lakh passengers by 2016-17 covering 72 Km with stations at every 1Km.

TPCC demands to celebrate Sonia Gandhi birthday officially
Telangana State PCC president Ponnala Lakshmiah has demanded the government to celebrate the birthday celebrations of AICC president Sonia Gandhi officially. He said that separate Telangana State may not be a reality without Sonia Gandhi. He wanted to express thanks to her by celebrating her birthday. The meeting was attended by CLP leader Janardhana Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Sudkhar Reddy along with others.

Prisons would made corruption free’, says Jails DG Singh
Prisons Director General VK Singh said that efforts are being made that prisons in the State are free from corruption. The efforts put forth during the last six months have given good results. He said that he takes the responsibility of any existence of corruption in jails. A shopping complex would be constructed at Chanchalguda Central Prison at a cost of Rs.8 crore. Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy would lay foundation stone for it on December 13, he said.

Telangana Government bans Uber Cabs
Telangana RTA Commissioner Jagadish said that Uber cabs in Hyderabad will be banned. He said that RTA officials will conduct raids on them from Wednesday morning. It may be recalled that the services of Uber cab was banned by the Delhi government on Monday after authorities found that the company did not carry out a routine check on the driver's antecedents. The cab did not even have a GPS system, authorities said. In Hyderabad, there are more than 30 different cab services offering various packages, but most of the cabs turn out to be run-down vehicles and neither do they have a tracking mechanism in place nor any background checks done on drivers.

All Party meet on December 16
The Government has decided to conduct an all-party meeting on December 16. The all-party meeting that went on for nearly four and half hours have discussed many issues. The BJP has rejected construction of Vinayak Sagar and wanted Ganesh idols be immersed in Hussain Sagar.
