Formation of Telangana State is not only imminent but a necessity

Lok Satta party national president Dr Jayaprakash Narayan participating in the debate on the AP State Reorganization Bill 2013 in the Assembly on Saturday said that formation of separate State is not only imminent but a necessity.

He dealt in length the need of formation of the State but also to address the issues immediately in the event of formation. In his speech, he said that how the Gentlemen's agreement was violated that increased the need and desire for a separate State among the people of the region. He charged the political parties that are always looking out for political gains rather than showing solutions to the issues.

Showing a solution he sought Special Category Status to Rayalaseema as it was worst hit in the event of State's bifurcation and wanted the Centre to development Telangana in a time bound manner as also Seemandhra region in terms of infrastructure, setting up of educational institutions, completing Polavaram project and Ramayapatnam project besides addressing revenue deficit. Jayaprakash Narayan advocated separate State for Rayalaseema if the people of the region want it.
