4G services in three months in Telangana State

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Thursday directed the officials to take up the steps of 4G services in the next coming three months.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of IT KT Rama Rao, GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar and representatives from Reliance. The Minister said that the 4G services would be available in the city by December.

Representatives of Reliance said that Rs.4,100 crore is being spent for Wi-Fi services in Telangana and optic fibre cable running to 1,700 km was being laid in Hyderabad itself .

Other service provides apart from Reliance will receive government support said the IT minister. It will help to provide services such as mobile, TV and internet could be made available at an affordable cost.

Reliance State CEO K.S.Venugopal and Coordinator P.V.L.Madhava Rao explained to the Chief Minister that the company is planning to roll out the 4G services in six other municipal corporations and 37 municipalities across Telangana in the first phase. The second phase will cover other cities, towns and 220 mandals.
