International standard surveillance system in Hyderabad

The first Chief Minister of Telangana State, K Chandrasekhar Rao announced on Monday, that nearly 10,000 closed circuit television cameras would be installed across Hyderabad as part of surveillance system.

Addressing the Telangana formation day parade, the Chief Minister said that 'Hyderabad city has got international recognition. We will make it a world-class with law and order as top priority'. We will install 6,000 to 10,000 CCTV cameras in every corner of the city to maintain security', said Chandrasekhara Rao. He said that the government would be very firm in matters of law and order and would spare none particularly in cases of atrocities against women, said KCR.

Announcing that the various wings of the police like civil, armed reserve, SPF etc., under one umbrella, he said that the government would study the possibility of bringing all units under one umbrella for better and effective functioning. On anomalies in the police system, he said that the government would ensure monthly payment of stationery expenses to all police stations and grant special medical allowance for traffic police personnel every month, said the new Chief Minister.

Telangana increment

The Chief Minister said that that the government would be 'employee-friendly' and treat them as partners in the progress of the new State. He said that the employees of Telangana would get a 'special Telangana increment' soon as promised earlier and would get salaries at par with Central Government employees.
