KCR wants GHMC officials to have long term plans for the city

The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday in a meeting with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation officials asked them to draw long term plans for the development of the city.

Assuring them that money is not a constraint wanted the authorities to clear all the water stagnation points before the onset of monsoon and directed them that the drainage leakage and intermixing of water and sewer lines should not be happened. He wanted them to work in a systematic manner.

The Chief Minister wanted the GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar not to burden the people with taxes. He said that the Government would get extra funds for the development of the city.

Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali participated who participated in the meeting later speaking to media said that the Chief Minister was particular that the people should not put to any inconvenience during the rainy season. He said that the city population was expected to increase by nearly 40 lakh with the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) coming. In this back ground, the Chief Minster wanted the officials to have long range plans.
