Telangana Chief Minister meets Prime Minister Modi

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday met the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and submitted a memorandum consisting of 14 issues.

Chandrasekhar Rao brought the issues pertaining to the Telangana State and also sought the funds for the development of the newly formed State. He submitted a memorandum containing 14 issues. The first and foremost issue is that he demanded special category status to Telangana State and sought the national status to Pranahita-Chevella project. The others dealt are Tax benefits to the industries set up in Telangana State, installation of 4000 MW power plant, creation of separate High Court, incentives for Urban Area Development for Hyderabad, creation of horticulture university, Tribal University, establishment of Steel plant at Bayyaram, Railway projects in Telangana are among them.

The important issue here to be noted that KCR who is opposing merging of villages of Polavaram has not been included in the memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister.
