March 1, 2014

Telangana Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram has ruled out of his entering into politics.

Speaking at a press conference after meeting of the steering committee of the JAC, he said that with the formation of Telangana State, there will be no difference in his role as a member of the organization. The steering committee met that for the first time after division was announced. He declined to comment on the controversy over the merger of TRS with Congress party saying that it was for the party to decide. He wanted that TJAC could not be dragged into the issue as it was only supposed be a bridge between the people and the government.

On the imposition of President's rule, he said that it could have been avoided in the interest of the people by installing a public government. He said that TJAC will oppose TDP and YSRCP as they have obstructed formation of Telangana State, said Kodandaram.
