Modi for PM organized in Hyderabad
Bharatiya Janata Party has organized the 'Modi for PM' programme in Hyderabad. National leader M Venkaiah Naidu, BJP state unit president G Kishan Reddy participated in the event.Speaking on the occasion, Venkaiah Naidu said that he supported the Telangana bill to fulfill the promise made by the party. He also questioned that some politicians are tarnishing his image as he also spoke about Seemandhra problems during debate of Reorganization bill in the Parliament.


Former deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha said that TRS party stands for cheating and deceit. TRS chief KCR promised to merge the party with Congress and later backtracked. He said that Telangana could only be developed if Congress comes to power. Telangana Mala Mahanadu president Addanki Dayakar and TRS OU JAC leader Krisank joined the Congress party.

Damodar Rajanarasimha said that they would organize 4 public meetings in Telangana before elections and AICC president Sonia Gandhi would attend them. They would also organized road shows as part of election campaign, he said.


Jaipal Yadav, Srinivas Goud and Rasamai Balakrishna joins TRS
Jaipal YadavKalwakurthy MLA G Jaipal Yadav, former Telangana Gazetted Officers' president V Srinivas Goud and Telangana movement singer and Dhum dhaam convenor Rasamayi Balakrishna joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party. TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao welcomed them into the party. Late in the evening, Banjara Hills police filed a case against the three for violation of model code of conduct. The three leaders have reached the Telagana Bhavan staging a rally which constituted as violation of the code.


TRS leader Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has questioned whether Telangana state could be formed if TRS party had not been formed. Speaking to media at party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan, Srinivas Reddy said that the Congress party is forced to grant Telangana state because of the movement led by KCR. He also said that the Telugu Desam Party has no possibility of winning in Telangana.


Telangana Congress PCC manifesto committee has met Telangana JAC leaders today. Telangana JAC chairman Prof. M Kodandaram and Telangana Non-gazetted Officers Association president G Deviprasad Rao are among those who met the Congress leaders. It is learnt that the manifesto committee is seeking suggestions from JAC leaders on what to incorporate in the PCC manifesto for Telangana Assembly elections.


Kavitha releases Dhikkaram book
KavithaTelangana Jagruti Samiti president K Kavitha has released the book 'Dhikkaram' today. Speaking at the launch ceremony organized at Medchal, Kavitha said that the laws to protect women in the society should be strengthened. She urged formation of special courts in this regard. Women should be respected in all possible ways in Telangana state, she said.


Congress MLC Shabbir Ali made it clear that Congress party is not interested in winning votes or seats. The only goal for Congress is development of Telangana and resolution of problems of Telangana people, he said.


Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams in April
Bhadrachalam TempleSri Rama Navami Brahmotsavams at Bhadrachalam Temple will be performed from March 31 till April 14, 2014. Seetharama Kalyanam will be performed on April 8 and Sri Rama Pattabishekam on 9th.


Congress MP Anjan Kumar Yadav's son allegedly beat up a constable in full public view at Golla Kidiki at around 7 pm. Aravind was in a car playing holi on the road with his friends near his house. As his car is blocking traffic, constable Vamshi asked him to move the car. Aravind asked the constable how dare he asks him to move the car when he is the son of an MP and started attacking him. Colleagues of the constable rescued him and took him to Osmania General Hospital. Aravind was absconding. A case was booked under IPC sections 302 and 506.


Former chief secretary Kaki Madhava Rao inaugurates Indian Institute of Political Leadership in Hyderabad. The institute aims to chang the perception of people towards politics. It also trains and moulds politicians into good leaders. The institute is first of its kind in the state and second after Pune in the country. Civil rights activist G Haragopal also participate in the event.


Warangal MP Siricilla Rajaiah's mother Shantamma passes away. She was 80. Shantamma has been suffering with illness for the past year.


Mancherial MLA Aravinda Reddy Gaddam's father died yesterday. His father Narasimha Reddy is a former Congress leader and former MP.


Three young men died in a road accident at Sareguda in Dundigal mandal of Rangareddy district. They were reported to be travelling on a bike at a high speed and fell off a culvert.
