Mahajana Socialist Party founder Manda Krishna Madiga demanded Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu to stick to his promise of making a BC candidate as chief minister of Telangana state. He questioned TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao on whether he is firm on his promise of making dalit as Chief Minister as stated earlier. He said that Mahajana Socialist Party will organize Simhagarjana and would announce their future course of action if they don't receive favourable responses from the leaders.


Peddapalli MP G Vivekanand urged people to ensure victory of TRS party in the coming elections. Kalwa Srirampur former ZPTC, 17 sarpanches and over 1000 party workers joined TRS in presence of Vivek and Etela Rajender at Peddapalli. While praising party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for his commitment, he criticized Chandrababu Naidu saying that the TDP chief made every attempt to stall Telangana state formation.


Anjan Yadav defends his son
Anjan Kumar YadavSecunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav supported his son in light of reports that his son allegedly assaulted a policeman yesterday in Hyderabad. Speaking to media after celebrating Holi at Indira Park, Anjan Yadav said that though his son is present at the place when the incident happened, he neither caused traffic jam nor assaulted anyone. Meanwhile, Anjan Kumar Yadav's son is in absconding and the police has formed two teams to nab him.


BJP chief G Kishan Reddy said that they would make Singareni as a special corridor if BJP comes to power in the coming elections. He said that districts and mandals in the new Telangana state should be increased.


Jalagam Venkat Rao and Putta Madhu joins TRS
Former MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao and Manthini constituency leader Putta Madhu will joined the TRS party today. They received party membership from party chief KCR.


Konda Surekha and her husband Konda Murali are likely to join TRS party. It is learnt that the couple are negotiating with TRS leaders. The couple reportedly requested TRS to allocate them Warangal east Assembly constituency and Parkal constituency. They also asked the TRS leaders to let their supporters contest municipal elections on TRS ticket.


Advocates JAC chairman Rajender Reddy urged political parties to allocate some seats for advocates in the region. He reminded that advocates also played a key role in the Telangana movement for the formation of Telangana state.


Congress leader and former MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy termed Pawan Kalyan a baby crow. Reacting to Pawan Kalyan's speech at the launch of Jana Sena party, Venkata Ramana Reddy criticized that Chiranjeevi was not able to maintain a political party and thus merged it with Congress. He said that Congress party is an ocean and it is impossible for anyone to crush it.


The prospects of TRS would hurt if it doesn't form an alliance with Congress, said former minister Danam Nagender. Expressing confidence that Congress would emerge victorious in the coming elections, he said that the final decision on alliances will be taken by the party high command.


Former deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha and Shabbir Ali met PCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah today. The meeting is to discuss the candidates for the coming Assembly elections.


Case against Ganta's son Ravi Teja for allegedly attacking an APSRTC employee
Former Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao's son Ravi Teja was taken into custody at Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad. Ravi Teja along with his friend Inder Tej were allegedly under the influence of alcohol and attacked an APSRTC employee Ramesh Goud at the bus counter in the airport premises. A case was registered against the duo, said RGIA station inspector Krishnayya. They were produced before a magistrate who has sent them on judicial remand for 14 days. Ravi Teja was shifted to Cherlapally Central Jail.


BJP national leader M Venkaiah Naidu said that the central leadership will take a decision on alliance within a week. Speaking to reporters in Nalgonda, Venkaiah Naidu said that people are aspiring to see Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country. Congress lacked confidence in Rahul Gandhi and that is why they did not declare him as Prime Ministerial candidate, he added.


Holi celebrations at Raj Bhavan have been cancelled as the Governor is scheduled to leave to Delhi today.


A student from Nalgonda studying at IIT Kharagpur committed suicide for not getting selected in campus interviews.


Six unknown persons attempted rape on a pregnant woman near high court premises in Old City. When her husband tried to rescue her, they attacked him with a knife. The couple belongs to Palamuru district.
