Sarvey Sathyanaryana to contest Lok Sabha
Sarvey SathyanarayanaUnion Minister Sarvey Sathyanarayana confirmed that he would contest to the Lok Sabha and not to Assembly in the coming elections. He denied reports suggested by former minister Danam Nagender that he might contest for Rangareddy Assembly. He questioned on what authority Nagender and Mallesh can announce such statements to the media.

Hyderabad city police commissioner Anurag Sharma said that the restrictions at premises of Secretariat will continue. He issued orders extending the restrictions for another two months. Public meetings, rallies are prohibited at Secretariat premises.

BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu said he will not involve in selecting candidates or alliances of the party. He made it clear that former minister Purandeswari did not demand Lok Sabha ticket for Visakhapatnam constituency.

Konda couple joins TRS
Konda SurekhaFormer minister Konda Surekha and former MLA Konda Murali have joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi today. They took the party membership from party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao in the evening. Speaking to media, Surekha said that she had misunderstood KCR in the past. She said that the re-development of Telangana is only possible under the leadership of KCR.

Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao has said that the party has done nothing wrong in the bifurcation of the State. Speaking to media at his residence, Hanumantha Rao said that all parties in the State changed their stance on bifurcation and Congress went ahead after it received approvals from all the parties. He lashed out against Seemandhra leaders for spreading false hope that they would merge Seemandhra and Telangana in the future.

A delegation led by Union home secretary Anil Goswami has reached Hyderabad today. Goswami will meet Governor ESL Narasimhan at 1:00 pm to discuss on the progress of bifurcation of the state. The delegation will hold review meetings to take stock of the present situation for the next two days. They will hold meetings with CS, IAS and IPS officials.

BJP national leader M Venkaiah Naidu reiterated that Narendra Modi is the perfect candidate to lead the country today. He said that development of the nation could only be possible by Modi and that people have enormous trust in him.

Secunderabad MP Anjan Kumar Yadav's son Arvind Yadav who was alleged to have manhandled a constable surrendered before the police today. A case was booked against Arvind at Hussein Alam police station. The South Zone police produced him before Nampally Criminal Court where he was remanded to 14 day judicial custody. Arvind Yadav and his three friends were shifted to Chanchlaguda prison.

Former minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao's son Ravi Teja who was arrested by the police for allegedly attacking an APSRTC employee at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has been granted bail by the Rajendranagar court. It is known that Ravi Teja was sent to 14-day judicial remand earlier.

Former MLC Konda Murali met TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah today. He has discussed joining back in the Congress party. It is known that the Konda couple have resigned to YSR Congress Party membership after Jagan Mohan Reddy campaigned against the formation of Telangana state.

Union Minister Jairam Ramesh will tour in Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts tomorrow. Congress leader Koppula Raju will accompany Jairam Ramesh. Jairam Ramesh will explain to the people about the AP State Reorganization Bill.

TRS party stated that there is no truth in the list of party candidates as published by some news papers. The party announced that the first list of candidates is still under preparation and could be released by the end of the week. The party has not confirmed candidates for any constituency yet.

Telangana PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah has met senior Congress leaders D Srinivas and K Jana Reddy today. They have discussed the latest political scenario.

Nizam college hostel students in Hyderabad staged protests demanding quality food. The students staged a rasta roko protesting lack of quality in vegetables and food.

Junior Doctors have met Governor ESL Narasimhan and urged him to cancel the PG entrance test conducted by NTR Health University. They alleged that there were several irregularities in the exam and asked him to intervene ordering the cancellation of test and conducting it again.

Directorate of Intelligence officials have seized drugs which are transported illegally at Shamshabad Airport. A woman of South African origin who has allegedly attempted to transport drugs to South Africa from Hyderabad was taken into custody.

IlIandu Congress party leader Sridevi attempted suicide after being denied party B form. She was admitted to the hospital and her condition is said to be critical. Sridevi is aspiring to become Municipal chairman as the post is reserved to women from BC community.

Two injured panthers have been brought to Nehru Zoological Park for treatment. The panthers were brought from Karimnagar and Prakasam districts.

CCS police grilled TV serial actor Vijayarani and her brother in a multi-crore fraud case. It is known that Vijayarani was alleged to have collected over 5 crores promising the investors to pay high returns. She had gone absconding after vacating her house at Yellareddyguda.

Police seized Rs. 7 lakhs from a person during police checks at the Secretariat flyover in Hyderabad.

TRS secretary general K Keshava Rao lashed out against Telangana Congress leaders for criticizing TRS leaders. He ridiculed that the Telangana Congress leader never fully supported the Telangana state movement and are now acting like Telangana patriots.
