Ponnala organizes Meet the Press programme. He says that Congress will win 100 out of 119 Assembly seats and 15 out of 17 Lok Sabha seats with out any alliance with other parties. Laxmaiah says that he would own responsibility whatever the outcome from the elections may be.

Former PCC president and MLC D Srinivas said that he is not against forming alliances for the coming elections. Speaking to media in Hyderabad, he emphasized the fact that it was due to their president Sonia Gandhi that the Telangana state could become a reality. He blamed former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for the lack of development in Telangana.

A new twist arose in the negotiations between TDP and BJP for an alliance in the State. According to sources, BJP is demanding Chief Minister post in Telangana to be given to BJP. They made it clear that TDP cannot get Chief Minister post in both Telangana and Seemandhra. BJP national leader Prakash Javedkar reportedly expressed his impatience at Chandrababu Naidu's comments of making a BC candidate in Telangana. Sujana Chowdhury is leading the TDP delegation in negotiations. BJP also said that it would contest majority of seats in Telangana. BJP is likely to demand 60 Assembly seats and 11 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.

EAMCET convenor Dr. Ramana Rao told the media that they are taking serious note of the recent allegations of irregularities in the PG Medical Entrance test. The Convenor said that they are not taking any chance and making all necessary arrangements to hold the EAMCET entrance test smoothly.

Noted film actor and TDP politician Babu Mohan will join TRS. He would meet party chief K Chandrasekhar Rao today. Babu Mohan is likely to join the party at a public meeting on March 26 in Medak.

Siddipet MLA and TRS leader T Harish Rao confirmed that TRS would not form alliance with CPM party. The party is currently negotiating with CPI. An understanding has been reached between TRS and CPI for the municipal elections.

YSR Congress Party leader Bajireddy Govardhan is likely to join Telangana Rashtra Samithi. According to sources, TRS may field him in Nizamabad to contest against former PCC president D Srinivas.

Lok Satta president Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan said that the party would contest specific seats in the coming elections. He said he would contest from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency if at all he contests for Lok Sabha.

TDP Rajya Sabha member T Devender Goud said that Congress is trying to gain advantage by creating trouble between people of Telangana and Seemandhra.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha and Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha held discussions with TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah. The meeting gained prominence as Jayasudha is facing stiff opposition from party members for Secunderabad Assembly seat.

Today is the last day to file nominations for ZPTC and MPTC polls. Nominations will be accepted til 5 pm.
