TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu announces the formation of Telugu Desam Telangana unit. The committee has 16 members.


Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao urged Telangana activists and people to vote for TRS party in the municipal, general and assembly elections. He alone has the ability to put immense pressure on the Centre to get Telangana the treatment it deserves. KCR said that it is unfortunate that the leaders who aspired for positions ignoring the sacrifice of Telangana martyrs are now claiming credit for the formation of Telangana state.


TRS MLA Etela Rajender demanded that farmers in Telangana region should be given 7 hours of power. Speaking to media, Rajender said that it is unfortunate that officials are ignoring farmers in the name of election code of conduct.


Congress Sevadal has demanded Congress party to allocate them tickets to contest the coming elections. Sevadal leaders Krishnamurthy, Javed Khan along with 200 party workers staged protests in front of the Gandhi Bhavan today. Congress Sevadal leaders asked TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah to allot them tickets of Secunderabad MP and five Assembly seats in the region.


Communist and activist Varavara Rao have met TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah today. He asked Ponnala to take steps to lift away the ban on Naxalites.


Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu will address a gathering at Praja Garjana in Mahbubnagar district tomorrow. He will stage a rally from Marri Chennareddy Statue at 3:30 pm and will reach the venue at 7:30 pm.


TRS leaders have met Governor ESL Narasimhan today. They have urged Narasimhan to direct officials to incorporate Telangana movement in the syllabus for students.


Congress MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy has clarified that the party would form an alliance with Communist Party of India (CPI) in Telangana. Gutha told media that he told CPI leader Narayana that it would be beneficial to CPI if he contests from Nalgonda.


Nagarjuna meets Modi, says no interest in politics
Film actor Nagajuna has met BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today. Nagarjuna has earlier met BJP national leader Venkaiah Naidu. He has discussed about development in Gujarat along with the coming elections with Modi. Speaking to media later Nagarjuna said that he is hoping that the country develops in the line of Gujarat. Despite media reports that he is aspiring for a ticket to contest elections, Nagarjuna made it clear that his family has no interest in getting into politics.
