Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu lashed at TRS saying that it is a byelection party. Chandrababu Naidu said that only KCR's family will develop if TRS comes to power in Telangana. He promised to make a BC as Chief Minister of Telangana if TDP comes to power. Though he may not become CM of Telangana, he would always strive for the welfare and development of Telangana, Chandrababu said. Alampur sitting MLA VM Abraham has joined the Telugu Desam Party. He took the party membership from TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu during hte Praja Garjana public meeting in Mahbubnagar.


TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has written to Governor ESL Narasimhan and High Court Chief Justice urging them not to appoint any one for key positions till the Telangana state is formed.


TRS leader Cheruku Sudhakar has tendered his resignation to the party. He went to the party headquarters at and personally gave his resignation letter. Earlier in the day, he garlanded Telangana Talli statute. Sudhakar claimed that TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is not giving due preference to Telangana activists.


Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader Arun Jaitley has said that the negotiations for an alliance with Telugu Desam Party in the State are going on. BJP has not yet announced the party's candidates for the coming elections. Jaitley said that once a consensus is arrived between BJP and TDP, they will announce the candidates in the State.


AP Judicial Academy director VSR Avadhani has been appointed as registrar of Supreme Court. Avadhani is the first person from Andhra Pradesh to be appointed as registrar of the Apex Court.


Unknown assailants lit fire to TRS party office in Vikarabad of Rangareddy district. The furniture in the office were completely destroyed in the incident that happened just after mid night. TRS leaders allege the hands of rival in the act as they are scared of defeat in the coming elections. The police have registered a case and are investigating.

Mahbubnagar

Two died and three others were severely hurt when a lorry overturned at Jadcherla in Mahbubnagar district. The deceased belong to Cherlapalli village in Guttimandal of Anantapur district. The injured were admitted to the Mahbubnagar government hospital.

Hyderabad

A group of Congress party workers allegedly beat up police who were patrolling at Nadargul in Meerpet, Hyderabad. The congress workers were allegedly in an inebriated state and attacked the police who were on patrolling duty. A SI and five constables were injured in the attack. The police later took 20 suspects into custody and are interrogating.


Customs officials at Shamshabad Airport have seized Gold weighing half a kilo. The gold was seized from a person who belongs to Tamil Nadu.
