TRS aims at all the 17 MP seats for better bargaining at the Centre

In the back drop of ruling out of merger of TRS party with the Congress in the last polit bureau meeting, TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao now aims at all the 17 Lok Sabha seats.

Speaking at a meeting coinciding with the joining of Nehru Naik (TDP) into the party on Thursday, Chandrasekhara Rao said all round development of Telangana State would only possible with better bargaining with the Centre and this will be possible only by sending 17 TRS candidates victorious in the Lok Sabha elections.

The TRS chief promised to allocate Rs.1,000 crore in each of the 10 districts annually for the Scheduled Castes. It would amount to RS.50,000 crore for the region during the five year term of the government.

Peopled warned of Pawan's political entry

Chandrasekhara Rao warned the Telangana people not to be deceived by the proposed party of Pawan Kalyan. He compared the party to an Ox and said that the annual makes rare appearances during Sankranti at people's doorsteps. He said that the shop of his brother is already closed and now he opens another shop of his own.

Delegation meets Governor

Meanwhile a delegation of TRS leaders led by Etela Rajender met the Governor ESL Narasimhan to bring to his notice large-scale crop loss caused due to the recent hailstorm in the region. They demanded compensation for the same.
