'TRS will play a key role at Centre', says K Keshava Rao

May 1, 2014

TRS said that is confident of getting a good number of seats in Telangana. The party has already begun getting into contact with national parties for formation of a new government at the Centre.

TRS secretary general Dr K Keshava Rao said 'we will play a key role in national politics. We are in touch with some national parties and preliminary talks are on with regard to formation of new government at the Centre'. However, he refused to reveal the names of those national parties that the party is in contact with. Keshava Ra added that there are three main contenders, Congress, NDA and the Third Front at the Centre.

It may be recalled that the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao had hinted on backing a non-Congress and a non-BJP government at the Centre, though he also announced support to Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister if the later seeks TRS support.
