Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA K Taraka Rama Rao said that the party will be supportive of the centre and are expecting a reciprocal gesture from the Centre for the newly created Telangana State.

The TRS MLA said that their government would try to forge harmonious relations with the Centre. He said that the mandate is for the next five years and that it is imperative they work in league with the Central Government. He added that 'People's mandate has been for us and for them too. Therefore, we need to work together', he said.

KTR said that political and ideological difference would not come in the way of working together. He faulted the UPA government for announcing special State status to Seemandhra only. He felt that Telangana should have been given special status as well. "We will appeal to the NDA government for this', he said.

'We will work with the TDP government. People have given us a mandate in Telangana and they have given the mandate to TDP in Seemandhra', said Taraka Rama Rao.
