Police arrest two persons in TRS leader Ramulu's murder case

While the special team searches are on to nab the prime accused Nayeem, police on Thursday arrested two persons alleged involved in the murder of TRS leader K Ramulu.

Ramulu, a member of TRS executive Committee and brother of former Maoist leader Sambasivudu was shot dead by some unidentified persons on May 11 in Nalgonda town. The police had earlier arrested six members of a gang of fugitive Nayeemuddin in Thiruvananthapuram on May 20.

Nalgonda SP T Prabhakara Rao said 'Ramulu and Nayeem had differences/rivalry when both of them were in the Maoist party. On earlier occasions there were murder attempts on Ramulu but he had escaped bid on his life. Nayeem allegedly gave directions to kill Ramulu this time and everything was done as per plan', he said. The Superintendent of Police added that six of the accused had fled to Kerala and the murder and they will be also taken into custody for further interrogation.
