TRS writes to Governor on Non-Conventional Energy projects

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) appealed the Governor to expedite division between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh benefits from the Centre that are granted to non-conventional energy (NCE) projects and schemes while protecting their rights.

TRS leader T Harish Rao in a letter to the Governor ESL Narasimhan the Centre had been implementing severing schemes for promotion of new and renewable energies in various States by extending financial support. He said that there was a need to divide the benefits between the two States. Harish Rao said that it has necessary to prevent the experience of Chattisgarh where in after the bifurcation of MP, residuary MP had garned all benefits to schemes announced the Centre, he reminded.

Harish Rao sought continuation of Power Purchase Agreements entered in to with CPDCL including ones for NCE projects located in Anantapur and Kurnool Districts even after their transfer to SPDCL to prevent loss of rightful share of power to Telangana State.
