Telangana State employees to get Central pay scales

Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and chief minister designate K Chandrasekhar Rao has struck to his promise of announcing Central pay scales and special increment for the government employees of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana State formation.

Telangana increment

Chandrasekhar Rao speaking at a press conference on Thursday said that the special increment 'Telangana increment' and added that there will be no change in the rates of increment for State Government staff as they are already in a higher scale than their counterparts at the Centre. He said that there would not be contract employment in Telangana. Rostal system would be followed to regularise the contract employees.

On the demand of RTC employees' parity in salaries with the State government, he said that it would be met shortly. The Telangana CM designate said that nearly 1.5 lakh employees would be recruited to the Telangana Power General Corporation and it would be solely in government sector and there will be no private players.

Committees would be formed

KCR said that committees would be constituted to finalize promotions in every department within a few days of government formation and all the higher posts that fell vacant due to bifurcation would be filled up. He asked the staff to work the extra hour as people have high expectations from the TRS government. He said that the absence of 44 days general strike in 2011 would be treated as 'in service' and they would get full pay for the period, he said.
