Twelve farmers commit suicide due to crop failure and debts. Among those are seven farmers whose cotton crops have failed. They ended their lives by consuming pesticide. Six of them are from Nalgonda, four from Karimnagar and two from Warangal.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's plan to convene a joint session of Legislature with Assembly and Council may not be possible as the Constitution bars convening such a joint session by any person other than the Governor. Articles 175 and 176 of the Constitution allows Governor to address a joint session of the house every year. It was learnt that the Chief Minister persuaded Governor to address a joint session of the house to give an opportunity to himself to explain irrigation sector projects in Telangana. However, the Governor has reportedly declined to convene a special joint session for this purpose.
