Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is a Congress politician and is a MLA representing Nalgonda constituency. He served as Infrastructure and Ports minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy's cabinet.

Venkat Reddy was born on May 23. He was elected to the Andhra Pradesh assembly for three consecutive times. He first contested from Nalgonda constituency in the 1999 assembly elections. He was later re-elected in 2004 and 2009 assembly elections. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy served as Minister for Information Technology in former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's cabinet.

Venkat Reddy resigned to his Ministerial position in 2010 and also in October 2011 for the Telangana statehood cause. He also tendered resignation to his MLA seat. Venkat Reddy sat on an indefinite hunger strike on November 1, 2011.
