Suddala Devaiah

Suddala Devaiah is a politician belonging to Congress party in Karimnagar district. He is a former Telugu Desam Party leader. Suddala Devaiah is the sitting MLA representing Choppadandi (SC) constituency.


Before becoming a legislator, Devaiah served as the Zilla Parishad chairman. He also served a minister in the cabinet of N Chandrababu Naidu.

Suddala Devaiah won the Choppadandi Assembly segment in 2009 elections on Telugu Desam Party ticket. He defeated Gunukonda Babu by 32,398 votes in 2009 elections.

In March 2014, Suddala Devaiah has hinted that he would quit TDP to join Congress party. As on March 23, 2014 he is holding consultations with his supporters. He finally joined Congress on 27 March 2014 after Congress leadership has assured him of a ticket to contest Choppadandi constituency where he is the sitting MLA.
