Syed Ibrahim

Syed Ibrahim is a politician of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He is the party in-charge of Mahbubnagar Assembly Constituency.

Ibrahim contested on TRS ticket in the 2009 assembly election and lost by a margin of 5,137 votes against Independent candidate N Rajeshwar Reddy.

He is the party's candidate for the 2012 bye-election of Mahabubnagar assembly constituency. Ibrahim lost hte 2012 polls by a tender margin of 1879 votes.


2014 Elections

TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to give Mahbubnagar Assembly constituency ticket to Telangana Gazetted Officers Association president V Srinivas Goud. The move triggered a black lash from the minority community and supporters of Syed Ibrahim.

2012 Mahabubnagar Bye-election

Syed Ibrahim has filed his nomination papers to contest in the bye-election on February 27, 2012. He was chosen as the party's candidate by the TRS committee for bye-election members Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Etala Rajender, Jitender Reddy and Jagadeeswar Reddy. Syed Ibrahim is the only minority candidate among the TRS candidates in the five assembly constituencies.

Syed Ibrahim lost the Mahabubnagar by-poll by a small majority of 1,879 votes to BJP's candidate Yennam Srinivas Reddy.
