Jagan Mohan Reddy Odarpu Yatra permitted in Telangana Region
The Kadapa MP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is permitted to tour Telangana region with certain conditions and provided additional security in the wake of threats to disrupt his 'Odarpu Yatra' said the Director General of Police, RR Girish Kumar. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, he said Jagan Mohan Reddy needed route permissions from the Superintendents of Police concerned as his tour may pose law and problems.
The DGP said any party leader could tour any place. As Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared that his tour is personal and since he is an MP, it the duty of police to provide him security. He disclosed that there was no proposal for setting up tribal battalions but the Centre had agreed to give three India Reserve Battalions for Chittoor and Karimnagar districts.
Girish Kumar said that the Centre had included Visakhapatnam rural and East Godavari districts in the list of Moist affected areas along with Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Warangal and Khammam for development of infrastructure and communication development.
