Invitation extended to Rosaiah for all party meeting slated on January 5

Congress leaders from Telanagana continued their tirade against the Andhra Peadesh Chief Minister, K Rosaiah for precipitating the ongoing political crisis in the State after separate Telanagana issue took the centre point. They are gearing up to represent their dissent over inviting K Rosaiah to the January 5 meeting of political parties in New Delhi while the Congress Working committee member K Keshava Rao cautioned the Chief Minister about the signals of constitutional break down in the State.

Dr Keshava Rao launched a trenchant attack on the Chief Minister for giving scope to the charges of Governor ESL Narasimhan was running the administration in the State. He said that the Chief Minister can seek the help, guidance of the Governor but should not give an impression that the State is under the insipid government. Former Minister R Damodar Reddy expressed concern over the Centre's move to invite Rosaiah to the crucial meeting asking in what capacity is he being invited and said that he is the administrative head of the State and the proposed meeting involved political parties.

Damodar Reddy wanted the high command to invite APCC president D Srinivas too if it was firm on Rosaiah attending the meeting. Telanagana leaders including former Home Minister, K Jana Reddy has decided to leave New Delhi a couple of days ahead of the meeting to represent the issue to the party leadership. Jana Reddy said the Telanagana people were against unified Andhra Pradesh and this could be verified by holding a referendum in the region or ask the region's MLAs to cast their vote.
